GMO (Genetically Modified Organism)GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) is the abbreviation used to indicate all those organisms whose genetic heritage has been modified by inserting genes extraneous to their DNA using genetic engineering techniques that allow you to add, delete or modify the genes of a certain organism.
Those whose genetic heritage is modified as a result of spontaneous processes such as hybridizations between different plants, grafts, etc. are not considered genetically modified organisms.
